The figures in the “Inception” series represent an imaginary version of particles that exist at a level that our senses cannot perceive. In this series you will find figures such as Boson, Skvark, Gluon and others that combine scientific fascination with the creativity of the author. Each figure is meticulously hand-turned from wood and then hand-painted to the finest detail.

New to this range is the impressive height of the figures, which reach up to 42cm. Each piece represents a unique fusion of traditional craftsmanship with modern scientific concepts, making each figure unique and unrepeatable.

The figurine was exhibited in the Riding Hall of Prague Castle as part of Designblok 2024-High Craft.

Height 41 cm, turned beech wood, painted.

“The Beginning series is my way of approaching the fascinating but complex world of physics in a playful way. I was tempted to create my own interpretation of what elementary particles might look like now that we can no longer see them with our own eyes. And I admit – I got a B in physics at primary school, so this is my way of relating to it”.

How are Tititi figurines made?

Tititi is a brand founded in 2019 by Tereza Talichová, which has since managed to establish itself in the field of contemporary Czech design for children. It focuses on the author’s painted wooden figurines, personifying in an individual form a number of different types of people, artists or dramatic characters from theatrical or literary works, viewed through a playful lens and with attention to detail.

Each of the figures is first created by turning the body of the figurine from wood (spruce, oak, linden). Except for exceptions, it is a symmetrical, vertical shape, individualized according to the designed profile (silhouette) and then finished with an original painting
